The twin National Parks of Tsavo East and West together form one of Africa’s largest wilderness reserves. Tsavo as a whole consists of 10 million acres of pure wilderness, incorporating savannah, ranges and hills, acacia and montane forest and extensive river system. The name ‘Amboseli’ comes from a maasai word meaning ‘salty dust’ and it is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close. Nature lovers can explore five different habitats here ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with sulphur springs, the savannah and woodlands. Lake Nakuru National Park is among the Kenya’s finest national park which is famous for both lesser and Greater Flamingos. Masai Mara Game Reserve widely considered to be Africa’s greatest wildlife reserve. Masai Mara is home to a breathtaking array of life.
